| CMS Association Meeting at Sheraton BWI |
On October 26 - 27, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Association Meeting was held at the Sheraton BWI located near the Baltimore airport. Ascellon Corporation hosted the event on behalf of CMS Project Officer Jodie Anthony, Senior Policy Advisor for Disabled and Elderly Health Programs Group (DEHPG). This 2-day forum gives attendees received key input on important issues from its partners in operating the Medicaid program for individuals with disabilities, those who are aging, and those with chronic medical conditions.

Ascellon Corporation hosted the 2011 CMS Medicaid Infrastructure Grant (MIG) Project Directors' Meeting on behalf of CMS Project Officer Annette Shea on October 18 - 21 at the Marriott at Camden Yards in Baltimore, MD. The conference aims to provide additional support to the States' efforts related to sustanability of the employment supportive policies and programs. CMS endeavors to promote collaboration and ongoing partnerships among state level experts, federal agencies, and associations actively engaged in promoting employment for people with disabilities at the federal level. |

Ascellon Corporation unveiled the ANSWERS medical record monitoring application at the 27th Annual NAMPI Conference in Denver, Colorado. Representatives of Ascellon Corporation, a Microsoft Healthcare Alliance Partner, held breakout sessions to demonstrate how ANSWERS supports medical records reviews and identifies potential risks of fraud, waste and abuse. |
| HR Source Foundation Charity Grill-Off, Wine Tasting & Silent Auction Event |
Ascellon Corporation participated in the First Annual Charity Grill-Off, Wine Tasting and Silent Auction hosted by The HR Source Foundation at the Billingsley House Museum in Upper Marlboro, MD. Ascellon, in conjunction with various organizations in the Washington Metropolitan area, grilled an entree of choice to be judged by a panel of distinguished local chefs. The winning corporations donated monetary prizes from the grill-off to their selected local charity. Grill Master, Henri Abrams and his grill team, Marie Onwuachi and Jonathan Jones represented Ascellon Corporation and entered succulent barbeque ribs to benefit the United Negro College Fund (UNCF). Four prizes were awarded; 1st place, 2nd place, 3rd place, and the People's Choice Award. The Ascellon team won the People's Choice Award, which yielded $1,000 in proceeds to be donated to Ascellon's selected charity, UNCF.

This year, the MIG Employment Summit will take place at the Hyatt Regency Denver in the beautiful city of Denver Colorado. Grantees are expected to roll-up their sleeves and share ideas for sustaining the MIG activity once the grant funding has ended December 2011. |
